Wester Melville Farmhouse and Cottage is a warm, nurturing residential setting designed to offer children safety, stability, and meaningful therapeutic support. Set within a peaceful rural setting, the service comprises two closely connected homes: a singleton cottage designed for young people who require a highly individualised placement, and a three-bed residential home just a short walk away that provides a small, supportive community built on trust and belonging.
Our therapeutic practice is rooted in trauma-informed, relationship-based care. Every child is met with curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to understanding their lived experiences. Through consistent routines, attuned caregiving, and evidence-informed therapeutic approaches, we help young people build emotional safety, strengthen resilience, and reconnect with their sense of self.
The standalone cottage offers a bespoke environment for children who benefit from one-to-one support, reduced stimulation, and a high level of predictability. This space allows us to create a uniquely tailored care plan that meets complex needs without compromise.
Just a short walk away, the three-bed home offers a close-knit, family-style setting where children can form relationships, practice social and life skills, and be part of a small, stable household. Both settings work closely together under one therapeutic vision, ensuring continuity, consistency, and a seamless team approach.
